
Project Boost
Project Boost, is one of our adult community based independence schemes. This community based project is available to you if you are living in Swindon, aged 18 or over and you have a learning disability.
Project Boost is all about helping members toBoost their CONFIDENCE; Boost their SKILLS; Boost their INDEPENDENCE.
Working in a small group or 1:2:1 this project will support you to learn new skills, be more confident and gain independence.
You can create your personal development plan and work at your own pace to achieve your goals.
Skills you could learn with Project Boost include:
- Cooking
- Money and budgeting
- Computer skills
- Bus training
- Healthy living
- Accessing community activities in your community
Once you have learnt a new skill in our Adult Community Based Independence project you may want to move on and be trained to become an Independence Champion, this is where you would volunteer for SAM and lead a group to go to an activity, for example the cinema.
OR
You may decide to use your new skills by getting a job or volunteering somewhere else!
