Could you be a Volunteer Advocate?

Advocates are ordinary members of the community; you do not need to have specialist skills, experience or knowledge. We need people with a caring non-judgemental approach who are interested in standing up for the basic rights of others.

What do we expect of an advocate?

That you are honest and loyal

  That you listen

That you help your advocacy partner speak up for what they want

That you are able to commit to at least 2 hours per month

We will:

Provide information and initial core training

  Give ongoing support

Encourage the development of your skills with ongoing training sessions
