. Advocates are ordinary members of the community; you do not need to have specialist skills, experience or knowledge. We need people with a caring non-judgemental approach who are interested in standing up for the basic rights of others.

What do we expect of an advocate?

  • that you are honest and loyal
  • that you listen.
  • that you help your advocacy partner speak up for what they want.
  • that you are able to commit to at least 2 hours per month.

We will:

  • provide information and initial core training.
  • give ongoing support.
  • encourage the development of your skills with ongoing training sessions.

If you are interested in becoming a Volunteer please contact us.

Or you can print off a copy of the following documents and apply that way.
